Of Veggies and Carrots
The Fool Curses The Darkness
I’ve never had so many paradigm shifts within two months in my life.
Words are not worth the value describing what I’ve gained.
I just want to share how earnest I am for every new day.
Every night in bed, I look forward to the next morning.
When you have a vision for tomorrow,
Dread can’t bind you.
Recently, I’ve been pondering about people.
I find it so true that it’s not about how much we know
But how much we do about it.
Education in good use is powerful.
But I think education in abuse is destructive.
Knowledge puffs up
It sharpens the condemning-eyes – they, so swift in spotting the speck in everything
So what if we can identify problems?
We scoff at them, and we step back
When we can be bolder,
By stepping in and provide solutions.
The fool curses the darkness
But
The wise lights a candle
Glory is reserved only for the
Problem Solvers
Celebrating Humanity
Is a picture of me sitting myself prim and proper
For another session of imagination and dreams.
I remember nestling in the car seat on Friday,
Getting ready to indulge in one of my favourite activities.
I was and still am very grateful of having the ability to run wild in a space where there are no limitations.
What liberty and power we own.
But with power,
We either use or abuse it.
I constantly subject my mind to think of only things worthy to be admired and developed.
For I have suffered the poison of treading the other extreme end,
I am content in where I have been walking on.
Run With Gusto
Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air.”
Morning trainrides can be quite uncomfortable.
You know when people who don’t take showers…
And you have gales of overnight body odour stinging your nose…
It’s one thing that makes me want to scream.
Our skin regenerates itself everynight
Toxins, oil and yucks excrete from our pores when we sleep
It’s not wise to neglect scrubbing them off after you wake.
Please love yourself by not missing any morning shower.
Pardon my occassional lamentations.
I’m still a happy person =)
I’m content in the race I belong to.
I needn’t go through it in a frenzy
I’ve just gotta jog my way into greater stamina and strength.
My eyes are locked at all the technicolour dreams ahead of me.
People tend to think dreams are faraway from them;
That they only come to pass when they’re older.
What a dreadful idea!
Achieving the dream isn’t about seeing the finale of it.
Success is attained at every step forward.
We’re not grasping air in this race.
We’re inheriting real promises
That are, in parts, tangible, at different stages
We obtain victory stage by stage.
We can obtain and enjoy nuggets of rewards in every season of our race.
And you know how big a nugget can get in His measurements.
One day is like a thousand days
What more about what’s waiting for you
If you run on
So run on,
If you don’t see the finishing line.
Enjoy every bit of it
Happy is he
Who runs with a purpose
Who runs knowing where he’s heading.
My Heart Crumbles
Whole of today, a certain longing ran in my being.
It was a persistent, yet steady rhythm from my heart.
At night, a portion of myself broke
And the river flowed
So mightily
Words lined out in strings so long
Different melodies carried every jot and tittle
Time had to race against us
When I strolled on the grounds beyond the Earth’s bondage.
No place can be compared to where I am led to thread
A fullness floats in its air
Power lingers in it,
Greatly, yet so gently.
All fade away when I stand in that place
None of me stands in the way
All I see
Is he.
You may have been there
But it was your holiday trip;
An occassional retreat you make for refreshment;
A temporary solace.
Please pay a revisit.
You don’t know what you have missed out.
Return.
Walk further in,
Press in deeper
Crawl if you need
Get into its heartbeat
Make your home in it
And you’ll understand what I mean.
The Song I Sing
Won:w-on:w-un
Grasp:gr-ap-s:gr-ar-sp
Chasten:chess-ten:chei-sn
The songs we sing
The attitudes we have and
The words we confess
Directly relates to the condition of ourselves.
Acknowledge Knowledge
I guess its my daily portion of caffeine overdose since school resumed.
Anyhow, I still adore the one-dollar iced coffee, the particular cupcake from that particular bakery (I missed it so much, I dreamt of reaching to a whole shelf of it the night before going back to school from the Emerge break) and the juicy hours of absorbing wisdom and revelations four-levels-under, with the company of the 465 people of fantastic attitude and enthusiasm.
What still rings in my head
Is about
Acknowledging knowledge.
Thinking about it
There are many brainy people around.
You can count on those who, especially, seem to knowitall.
But really, the creme la de creme
The true assets to our society,
Are those who appropriate knowledge
And solve problems with wisdom and understanding.
Education derelicts are plentiful
The world is crying out for the wise!
